Message original (en anglais) :
Dear colleague,
I am writing to you on the current activities of the CoARA Working Group on Reforming Academic Career Assessment (WG ACA).
We are now in the second phase of our work plan, which involves developing a framework to organise practical tools and resources related to academic career assessment, and addressed primarily to research performing organisations. As a starting point, we have included the tools mentioned in the case studies of the WG ACA, and also some tools mentioned in the CoARA Agreement annex.
We would like to invite you to test the interactive version of the framework (password: ACAframeworktest). This has been developed by a subgroup of WG members that had expressed interest in developing the framework. We are now extending the testing to all WG ACA members and plan to improve the framework based on the feedback received. We will also share the interactive framework with external organisations, beyond the WG, that volunteered to test it – this includes the Swedish National Chapter in CoARA.
The framework is organised around two main building blocks – institutional goal and institutional role. Then, the different tools are matched with the most suitable goal(s) and role(s), depending on its main purpose. As part of the framework, we are also including short summaries of each tool. The summaries were originally generated using ChatGPT, then edited by a member of the WG ACA and finally validated by the case study authors (this process is still ongoing).
Feel free to explore the framework and share your feedback. You can do so directly by email or by filling in this short form. You can also share the framework and feedback form with other colleagues in your institution that may be interested in testing it.
It would be great if you could provide your feedback as soon as possible. If that is not possible, please let me know.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
